Jill and I met about ten years ago at the Bridge Church in Longview, WA. She and Chuck sat behind us, and I turned around to introduce myself. It was instant friend chemistry between Jill and me, and very soon the two of us and our husbands became fast forever friends. Jill was one of those beloved heart-to-heart friends that both filled up my heart and at the same time drove me a little crazy. I grew to love her SO dearly, and I think the reason she loved me back is that I put up with none of her nonsense. I kicked her in the behind (in the most loving way) when she needed it, and she loved me all the more for it.
Jill and I used to enjoy sneaking away from our husbands now and then for a girls "date," and we tried to get together - just us girls - once a month or so. We would go to lunch and then indulge in a little "retail therapy," gabbing a mile a minute the entire time. We never seemed to run out of things to talk and laugh about. But we talked of more serious things, too. Jill loved Jesus and looked forward to His coming when He will take us all home to live with Him in heaven forever.
I love you, Jill - See you in the morning. Can't wait to hug your neck once again!
