Obituary for Michele C. Franklin

Michele C.  Franklin
Michele Cari Franklin passed away peacefully and naturally at her home in Stockton, California at the youthful age of 45 from complications of ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease). She was born in San Pablo, California on June, 18, 1971, graduated from Pinole Valley High School in 1989, and completed business studies at the University of the Pacific, shortly after relocating to Stockton, California in 1991. She served many, including her latest employer, Sleep 2000 as VP of Operations, as well as

various boards and committees, advocating quality of life for the disabled community and touching thousands of lives through her service. Michele and her

family attended The Church of Christ in Stockton, California. Her zest for life turned her compassion for others into a lifelong inspiration. She promoted strong health and integrity, encouraging others through her love of people, water skiing, snow skiing, camping, kick boxing, running and advocating especially for her mother, Sandra Mason, and co-advocate for life, David Gould.

Michele is survived by her children, Evan "Buddy" and Ashley Franklin, of Maiden, North Carolina, her parents, David R. and Dorothy "Dottie" Mason of Battle Mountain, Nevada, and siblings Daniel Mason and Victoria

Mason, both of Reno, NV, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends near and afar. She is preceded in death by her late, beloved husband, Evan Franklin, and beloved mother, Sandra Mason, as well as many grandparents, family, caregivers and friends. She will be greatly missed, but she is now free.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 at

1 pm at Bear Creek Community Church, 11171 N. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi, California 95242. In lieu of flowers, Michele requested donations be made to a charity of your choice , or The ALS Association of Greater Sacramento or New Leaf Ayurveda of Sacramento, California, whichever moves you the most. Light appetizers and beverages will be served shortly after the service at Bear Creek Community Church.
